Loss of sound alerts in iPhone 11

All my sound alerts have stopped. I’ve tried all suggestions apart from factory reset which I want to avoid. When I go into Sounds and Haptics and slide the ringer alert to the left a little notice appears saying ‘silent mode on’ s expected. However, when I slide it to the right the same flash appears also saying ‘silent mode on’. My sound buttons are correct for sound but I have no idea how to get the ringer to confirm that the silent mode is switched off. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thankyou so much

Hello Mtoxhcdt,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. It sounds as though you're experience an issue of your iPhone thinking it's in Silent Mode when it's not. Just to make sure the button is for sure in the right position, check out article, How to put your iPhone on vibrate, ring, or silent mode. It's also a good idea to double check and make sure that Do Not Disturb isn't enabled either. Take a look at Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch for details.

If everything looks good with those 2 options, then you might want to consider reaching out to Apple Support or having your iPhone looked over by a technician.
