I received the Fre case for my phone 2 days ago and it isn't a very good fit, when it is put onto the phone the clear plastic screen part of the case isn't close to the phone screen at all, and makes the phone pretty much unusable, face id won't work, anyone else having same problems with this case.

I sent them an email saying the case didn’t fit properly and i couldn’t use the phone when the case was on, I asked for a refund £69.99, they replied within 48 hours by email and had a returns slip to print out and send back with the case, they said I’d get a refund within 10 days of them receiving the phone case, still wish the phone case had fit though, hope you get it sorted
Hi, I had the same trouble. Like mentioned by someone I tried wiping the two sticky dots on the case on either sides of the front camera. It didn't work for me. So after wiping it down I reset my faceId and rescanned it with the phone in the life proof case and it worked straight away.
Wow, just read the first page of the thread and removed the sticky circles next to the ear sound piece and it works like a charm...very interesting!
I removed the 2 dots, solved the Face ID issue, no difference in sound quality. Mine is a 12 pro though not max so I wonder if that makes a difference. Incidentally the fre case for the iPhone 11 Pro had nothing but complaints about the screen protector interfering with the screen and causing 'oil slicks' so maybe that had something to do with the dots being placed there.

Removing the dots also solved the faceid issue on my 2 new 12 pros, but the sound quality and volume from the ear piece seems to have been subsequently effected. Sad that we are having these issues from a premium expensive case.
I am having the same issue with the iPhone 12 Pro case. In addition to the facial recognition, the built-in screen protector appears to have numerous, very fine dots in a boxed pattern stretching across the screen.
Very disappointed in the case, especially after they had been creating and testing it for nearly two months before its release.
Those points are a sticky substance that you can remove by wiping back and forth. This process was extremely easy and then my Face ID worked perfectly!
Same issue with me also. Haven't tried removing the circles as I presume it voids any warranty and am concerned about the sound issue raised. I assume they will release a new one that fixes the issue so hoping they will replace it.

What sound issues are you having? I am not sure if I have noticed anything. My sound seems fine when watching a video, talking on the phone, etc.

I know this isn’t the common experience here, but I got my fre case in the mail today - admittedly, it’s 12 pro, not max like this thread was started to discuss. Everything is working for me like I hoped or would expect right out of the box. I’m a happy purchaser. I didn’t even remove the now famous dots. I hope others have the same experience as me and/or at least try their case out first before altering it in any way.
