logic board failure in MacBook Air

Hi .. My MacBook Air 2017 model suddenly did not start on one day , after giving SMC it started . Battery`s health also seems to be fine without any issues. Now sometimes the Mac does not starts or sometimes it starts post SMC only , I have showed it to Apple service centre and they are confirming it is a MLB ( logic board failure ) and it will cost approx 48K to replace the same. MY question here is if the MLB has failed then how is MacBook working and they are not able to give any rigid possible reason of MLB failure.

This is seriously disappointing from Apple !!!

Has anyone faced this issue , please revert
