Recently purchased adapter for my Macbook Air (2020) and had to additionally get a SD Card Adapter.
I am attaching SD Card Reader Adapter to the USB-C Digital AV Multi-port Adapter and using the last USB-C port on the Macbook Air for power. But the MacBook is not registering the SD Card Reader at all. I have done the normal checks to ensure that External Devices are supposed to be visible with no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to have solved my own issue. Turns out that the SD Card Reader Adapter has to be directly connected to the macbook Air for it to work. You cannot connect it to the multi-port adapter. Odd since the AV multi-port adapter has a spot to plug a USB-C device on it as well.
