My volume controls buttons don’t work

Does anyone else have an issue with their volume control buttons on iPhone 12 pro max? I can only control volume via control center. They worked when originally purchased.

iPhone 12 volume buttons Hi, so I recently bought a new iPhone 12 and it works fantastic, but the volume buttons on the side don’t work. I checked the settings and the setting called ‘change with buttons’ was on. Is it already sort of broken or is there just an issue in my settings?

It happens to me, and when it occurs, I need to restart the phone to get working again. Is so annoying
