Why is screen mirroring from iphone to lg tv not working. Preview of fitness session works, countdown of session works. Screen goes black with audio only once session begins. How do I fix this?

Same issue - I was excited to check it out this morning. I bought a new watch last week and got 6 months of the Fitness + service. It counts down on the TV screen, then reverts back to the phone for the class. It also doesn’t acknowledge my AirPods.
This has been fixed in the recent iOS 14.5 update. Make sure to update your compatible devices.
Is 14.5 actually available everywhere yet? I don’t have any option to (in the uk)

I don’t want AirPlay I want HDMI adapter output as my older TV in the basement doesn’t support AirPlay
Just tested. iOS 14.5 with Lighting to HDMI adapter. Workout Video feed worked on my old projector
I have the same problem. Very frustrating- sort it out,Apple!
Problem solved!!! I take back what I said. I did the update to the ios 14.6 and now I can mirror my phone to my smart tv. Yay!!!
