Why is screen mirroring from iphone to lg tv not working. Preview of fitness session works, countdown of session works. Screen goes black with audio only once session begins. How do I fix this?

I went ahead and bought the Apple 4K tv.
yes it works great! I was able to do as many workout on Fitness+ app that I wanted last night.
i am sore today because of it.
mad states before, my son had surgery and won’t be walking for about 5-6 weeks so that’s why I “bit the bullet” and bought the Apple 4K tv. For your Info, I was told the Apple HD also works for the Fitness+ app. I can confirm that also works because I saw it work at Beat Buy.
PLEASE NOTE: If you get one of the newest Apple TV streamers, you MUST update the firmware BEFORE you will see the Apple Fitness App ( in the way of the rings on your watch or phone or iPad) shows up on the tv.
I guess in the end it doesn’t matter why you buy it. Just know that I confirm on these two options, it does work very well.
As I posted in the official Apple Memo ( or whatever you want to call it) there will be NO OTHER WAY this will work except one of the two steamers.
Also there is NO credit being given to purchase one.

Does anyone have this cable setup to try it out? Lightning to usb-c, then usb-c to hdmi?
I wonder if this would bypass what ever Apple did to screw with us? Or is it only a iPad Pro solution...
When using the lightning cable to hdmi dongle, it will screen share everything including the countdown, but go black for the workout. It appears to be by design.
They want to sell you and me another Apple product (latest Apple TV) because This doesn’t even mirror with my Apple TV 3 gen.
Where exactly do they say that it’ll work on a big screen without the use of AppleTv??!
If you read through the comments, people are also mentioning the Apple Thunderbolt and USB-C dongles.
correction, you do get Apple Watch data on peloton app and able to airplay it at same time. See my gym set up with projector on the wall. I wanted to do the same with Fitness+ but failed to succeed
Problem solved!!! I take back what I said. I did the update to the ios 14.6 and now I can mirror my phone to my smart tv. Yay!!!
