Freestyle LibreLink no longer working with iphone

I have been using the Freestyle Libre system for about 18 months, and have been pleased with the performance. Today, I went through the sensor replacement routine, and activated the sensor using the handheld Freestyle scanner, as usual. However, when I tried to recognize the sensor with the iphone app, could not detect the sensor. Thought it might be the sensor, so replaced it. Again, activation with the handheld scanner succeeded, but no communication with the iphone app. Using IOS 14.2. Could it be a mechanism in the iphone itself has failed?

Just to follow up my previous post regarding this issue to confirm that once delivered the phone to apple assistance after 3 days they replaced it with a new one which is now working properly with my free style sensor. The NFC chip apparently failed.

For good order's sake you must do a full back up and after restoring the back-up to a replacement phone you will need to

re-confirm all the passwords and identity credentials that you may have - this is rather more complicated than I would have immagined after a week I still have a couple of apps needing some attention due to having forgotten initial passwords as the security systems identify the replacement phone as "a new device". So bottom line is don't hesitate and get the phone to an apple assistance store immediately.

I have never had a working libre sensa 2 so far! Was Vivienne it for an upgrade as needed the alarms to help sort my life out but ALL four ones I’ve tried haven’t worked properly!! Last two didn’t even scan, before that the alarms were going bonkers with no signal signs alllll the time even when I was sitting within 6” of it!

I reprted to ABbot care but just said they’d send a new sensa. Interestingly they sent a freestyle libre 1!

How does an internally sealed antenna deteriorate? Since buying a brand new iPhone 12 in the US, it has never worked with Abbott Freestyle. Is Apple saying that between the time iPhones are manufactured, and the time consumers buy them, the antenna deteriorates? What's that say for the rest of the phone? Are Apple devices built to break and force consumers into buying new devices every two years? Thank you for this information, but I still think there is a bigger issue.

About six days after I applied a new 14-day Libre sensor my iPhone 8 started slow to recognize the sensor until it stopped scanning entirely. The Freestyle Reader works fine but I want the convenience of scanning with my iPhone. I don’t have any problems with any other apps, although its not uncommon to have problems after an IOS upgrade. Don’t know whether to call Apple or Abbot. I am six days away from a new sensor and doubt that apply one now would do any good.

I've given up with the Libre 2 Sensor it never ended up working regardless of offloading app, deleting it completely and reinstalling. Moved onto DEXCOM G6 with no problems. However no my Apple Pay isn't working either, and hasn't done since the original issue with the Libre2 sensor, did anyone manage to get through and find a solution to this?? It's really annoying I've had several situations now where I've had to go all the way back home in order to pay for my things because the Apple Pay isn't working &I don't drive. PLEASE can someone come back to me with a solution?!!!!
