I've had Apple tv for about a month. I'm hard of hearing, so I use closed captioning always.

I'm very familiar with going to settings, accessibility, cc to turn it on. I also switched on "accessibility shortcut" for cc, though I don't know how that works.

My cc worked fine until about 4 days ago. Now, as much as I go back to settings and check, it's still turned on but doesn't display on my screen, go either Appletv or live tv.

This is truly ruining my experience, with my hearing problem.

Note the “if available”-part. When the content provider fails to include CC in a stream, then no setting can make it show, obviously.

If you seek assistance, then include details of your model Apple TV (settings may differ by model and software version), and what you were trying to watch (show+network+content provider).
