When I start a fitness workout in Fitness+ on my iPhone, it is not finding my watch. It says "Apple Watch Unavailable". Both my phone and watch have the latest software updates, the watch is unlocked and Bluetooth is on.
i am having the same issue. My Apple Watch is connected to my iPhone. Even all metrics from Fitness app are updated. Even if I select a fitness program, the Apple Music app is also launched and synchronized.
I have restarted both my phone and watch and is not working.
When I had this problem, the only thing that worked was unpairing my watch from my phone and then repairing them.
I unsubscribed but kept going back. Pairing and updates weren’t my issue.
After talking with a thousand stumped geniuses, one on the phone suggested turning my watch off.
That did it.

Just now fixed- I updated to 7.3.2 watch os then restarted my iPhone then reinstalled Fitness + on my iPad Pro. Now it’s working as it should. Good thing too I was running out of hair to pull.
For me restarting device or downloading Home app didn't work but signing out from Apple ID and logging back in worked. Thanks!!
