iPhone 11 Pro does not always ring or signal text

I've checked settings and silence switch.

We as a couple have iPhone 11 Pro s (one is a max)

Many important calls are missed as the phone does not ring.

Both phones do this, but with a quick check, one calls the other the phone rings.

Cell signal is one - two bars, wifi calling is on.

How do we fix both?

Hi tlfmd,

We understand that your iPhone does not ring. Just to confirm, is this related to the volume of the ring or does the phone call not come through and you see missed calls? If you're getting missed calls and If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad, please follow the steps listed in that article.

If the issue is related to ringer volume, please be sure to check your sound settings. Check this out: Adjust the volume on iPhone

Enjoy your day.

Before I entered this discussion;

I checked the ringer volume(max) , I also had had my wife call me, it rang nicely.

I switched the switch that allows dimming of the ringer by volume controls to not allow, it is set to "max".

I get calls but miss about 1/2. (so does my wife on her iPhone 11 Pro Max) and I will miss text alerts also about 1/3rd.

I set that to Anticipate as it is the loudest.

We live in the Portland, Or area, AT&T with one (maybe 2) bars cellular, wifi calling "on"

We both cannot reliably make calls, recipients cannot hear us but we can call them This usually occurs at home in the same room with a new hi powered Linksys EA9500 wifi router and Xfinity modem within 4 feet

restart not fix, iOS up to date

I am frustrated
