iPhone 12 pro max poor quality photos and videos

Please help!! I just got the new iPhone 12 pro max but so disappointed because the video is poor quality when I post it on my Instagram stories and Facebook stories. It looks clear on my photo app but it’s showing blurry on both stories. I already turn off the HDR on setting so that’s not the problem. I bought the iPhone knowing I’ll have the best pic quality but now I regret it and sad I want to buy an old iphone so I could achieve the clear quality I used to have. Any suggestions to help fix this problem?

My iPhone 12 Pro takes absolutely terrible photos. I’m extremely disappointed. Every photo, no matter the lighting, comes out blurry. Portrait mode is completely unusable. I only used the portrait mode on my iPhone X. Now it’s not even an option for me. Absolutely terrible.

I got mine in December and have had the worst quality pictures and then nothing but floating lights reflecting back into my videos if I try to record Christmas lights, birthday candles or in low lighting with a t.v. Or something with a bright screen on. It’s so stupid. I think I’m gonna switch to Samsung. I’ve never been a droid fan because it seems more confusing to use, but their photos & videos are always AMAZING, plus they have way cooler general features, like fonts, more widgets etc.

sorry to hear that you are also not loving this expensive craptastic camera. 😥

My new shiny IPhone 12Pro Max does not recognize my touch! Intermittently won't open screens - close s reens - skips keyboard keys, like in the word 'screens' I just tried to type & will not allow touch screen in between words/letters to make corrections. I came from a 6 Plus because I maxed out my 64k. Wish I could go back....to almost any phone but this! Unbelievably frustrating , a d (that would be 'and') I normally don't speak out ...but this phone has been beyond disappointing and sub par!

Hi, so I upgraded my iPhone XR because u wanted the ultra wide and telephoto lens. I was initially very disappointed with the quality of the photos and contemplated returning the phone because I thought the camera was better on the Xr. Then I noticed the same photos looked better on my iPad. I discovered this setting under photos called “view in full hdr” that is on by default. That fixed the issue. Hope that helps! 😄

the iPhone 12 Pro/ 12 pro max have amazing cameras!

Hi - yeah I did that already. The pics and videos all look good in my camera but when I post in Facebook story for example, it looks like a video that was taken by an old camera. The quality is is not good at all. They’re blurry and not colorful as the original. I heard that Facebook is the reason for this because they haven’t updated their app to make apple photos/videos from new iPhone compatible yet. I could be wrong tho but at the end of the day I’m unhappy because I feel like I wasted my money for something that is supposed to be the “new, modern phone”, but not. :(

Yeah I’m honestly a little disappointed too, I was spending $100 a month on my broken iPhone 8 so I decided to upgrade. I was super excited to see how nice the camera was but it’s grainy in the regular camera on the phone and on apps?? Like even if you zoom in you can see slight grain and when it’s dark it’s SUPER Grainy even with night mode turned on.

its soooooo disappointing.

somewhat reminds me of when I had those iPods with the camera on them 😒 I love the phone in every other aspect but the camera quality is what truly matters the most to me. I feel like I’m using an android ( and at this point an android would be better and CHEAPER )
