the search feature in Mail does not work

I upgraded to MACOs 11.0.1 and the Mail utility is close to worthless. The search feature returns nothing, i have duplicate mail boxes, i.e. two drafts, two sets, three trash. The app does not delete the original e-mails from the server as I have requested.

Is Mail ever going to operate properly?

Also support for Mac devices is following the trend of Microsoft, it is becoming extinct!
