Help! I cut my finger and couldn't use print recognition for 3 weeks because it didn't recognize it. Then I reset the fingerprint but it never worked. I have removed those prints and wish to reset the print but now when I tap the function to add the print, nothing happens. It never loads the command to begin putting my finger on the button to record my print. What's up?

verify your preferences—>System Preferences>TouchID
Use Touch ID on Mac - Apple Support
If not luck deleting all finger prints and adding them back in—
