importing address list from open office spreadsheet to apple contacts

Last year I successfully exported my address list for my Christmas card labels to Apple contacts, by saving the sheet as .csv file then importing it.. Today I tried to repeat it but I seem to have imported all the names but none of the addresses.

I also tried importing just the names to a new group by exporting a sheet with the required names (whose addresses I already had in a different group), with each name on a different row, I was told the .cvs v file was not comma separated, (event when I inserted commas in the original). I can export the page to .csv if I leave the address columns in the spreadsheet page , but the addresses seem to be ignored.

Please advise me.

The CSV needs to be saved as a UTF-8 text file, as shown in this LibreOffice 7.0.4 Save As…

You need to be using data formats that the Contacts application requires, as otherwise, the import will fail. There can be no punctuation in the import fields that duplicates the character used for the CSV separator, or the import will also fail.

The problem is not with the label format (viking or otherwise) , but with getting addresses from open office spread sheet to apple contacts. I can save the sheet from open office as a .csv but the .csv is not in a fromat recognised by contacts. It is not comma or tab separated even when I use the filter in open office save as to specify comma separation.
