Metadata Not Appearing in Audio Hijack

I am helping a fellow DJ on our Internet Radio station get setup to broadcast. She is using Big Sur 11.1, Music 1.1.2.28, and Audio Hijack 3.8.0 (the broadcast software for Mac that we use). Her settings within Audio Hijack are identical to those that I and another DJ use. While her music and mic are working perfectly, the Metadata -- Artist and Track Title -- are not scrolling thru the Audio Hijack window, and therefore not appearing on our station's website as the songs are played. While it is possible the problem is within Audio Hijack (and I am contacting them), I and another DJ with the same setup do not have a problem with our metadata. I am wondering if the problem is something within Music, or elsewhere in Settings on her Mac that is preventing this metadata from being sent. Hope someone can help figure this out. Thanks

Joe

This is an add-on to what I have said above about the Song Title and Artist not showing within Audio Hijack when playing a song in Music. When I selected a song and then went to Finder and opened the song using VLC as the player, rather than music, the song title and artist did scroll within the Audio Hijack window. So, it appears that the issue might lie somewhere within Music, as I have suggested above. Any thoughts?

Hello Joey C 2,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with a third-party app and Music metadata.

This page shows apps such as BeardedSpice can run in the background to get the metadata. On the computers this feature works correctly, are you using another third-party app or plugin to get this to work? Rogue Amoeba AudioHijack-Metadata

Otherwise, please reach out to the app manufacturer as they will know what settings need to be adjusted to get this to work within macOS Big Sur.

Thanks and have a wonderful day.

I don't think the problem is with Rogue Amoeba's Audio Hijack. Two others on our station, including myself, have the exact same setup in Audio Hijack as the person having the problem, and we are not having the issue with missing metadata. The source for the music is a playlist within Music -- it is not any other source being used. I have contacted Audio Hijack, but they do not have a quick answer as they have not encountered this problem before. I still think there must be something within her Mac setup that is causing this problem. As I said, the songs play perfectly thru Audio Hijack to our station's website, and the title and artist names are scrolling in Music, but not in Audio Hijack, so therefore not on our website.
