iTunes Movies Cannot Be Played In HD on Windows 10

Hello,

Running iTunes Ver. 12.11.0.26 on Windows 10 on new 2020 Razer Blade Pro 17 with 4K display.

When trying to play rented movies I get this error message:

In iTunes settings, I configured movie downloads to 1080p and configured max resolution also to 1080p, see screenshots below.

How can I fix this problem?

Windows, Windows 10

Hello Saifan Pilot,

We'd like to help with the issue you're experiencing. It appears that you are getting an error when trying to play HD content on your computer via iTunes. We appreciate that you confirmed your iTunes is up to date.

To also confirm, is your Windows computer up to date as well?

Are you experiencing this issue with one content or multiple contents?

Does the issue persists if you change the Maximum Resolution setting?

Is the content you are trying to play purchased in the iTunes Store? If so, check this resource for information on video formats and device compatibility: Find movies with 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, or Dolby Atmos in the Apple TV app
