Apple TV 4K 14.3 No longer plays music vids full screen

I have thousands of music videos and streaming them in other rooms is the only reason I have a necessity for appetv in the first place. This is extremely annoying. You’ve already ruined iTunes, quit messing with the products that you got right.

I agree, having the same issue. Changing my music video's to movies is not a option because I have a large movies library also. This will really mess up my smart playlist, plus at times I am working in the garage and have one of my music video playlist playing I would hate for it to throw a movie in the mix. This has been working without flaw for 10+ years, now all of a sudden I take a update and my videos default to a window instead of playing full screen.......

You're AppleTV 3 still does playlists? Mine stopped quite some time ago, much to my kids' chagrin. Of course now I find myself wondering if they hadn't swapped them around and were trying to use an AppleTV 2.

Yes, the Apple TV 3 (software version 7.6.2) still plays music video playlists (via the "Computers" app, using Home Sharing connected to a Win 10 PC running iTunes).

It's practically all I use it for.

Apple Team, Please fix. I have the same issue with music videos playing only in a small box in the center of my TV. I am using an Apple TV A1625 streaming from a Mac Mini that holds my music library and thousands of music videos. As others on this chain have described—it has worked flawlessly for years sliding from one video to the next on random. Now with the last Apple TV update (14.3-18K561) it’s broken. Happy hour is ruined. Please patch.

I'm experiencing the exact problems. My videos played great for years using My computer on apple tv. Also, the cloud will not upload these videos so you can't play from the new Music app on Apple TV. Please fix this

I am also having this same issue. I am disappointed because I cannot watch my music video collection on shuffle using my Apple TV4k. The first video plays in full screen and in succession all other videos play in a window. It didn’t do this until recently. Apple, please fix.

tvOS 14.4 is out now and this issue still hasn't been fixed.

This is getting really frustrating now.

I appreciate that bugs like this are rare for Apple.

But I really hate how they refuse to acknowledge them when they do occur.

Same bouchbre. I was excited to see the update because I was sure there would be a "quiet fix." No dice--took just two videos to figure that out. At the very least Apple should provide a way to roll back to the last working version. I haven't noticed any new useful changes. A couple of versions ago there were titles added to the corner of the music videos, which I thought was interesting, cause nothing ever changes in this section and then it was broken.

I tried contacting Apple Support AGAIN, and they are still not acknowledging this as a 14.3 bug.

They made made me do a full reset (that made no difference, surprise, surprise) and made me provide lot more information, systems logs, video of the problem, etc.

Can anyone who has contacted Apple Support and received assurances that this is a known bug provide any kind of reference number?

I'm just not convinced anyone at Apple is really working on this issue.

Can you please address this issue and explain why the videos are playing this way and what you're doing to fix it? It's not an airplay issue, it's not a home sharing issue. It's a software issue that occurred as part of an update.

Oh so glad to hear it. I have automatic updates set to on but 14.5 didn’t download. In fact it was still at 14.3. Manually downloading the update now. Fingers crossed it fixes it on mine. You’d think they’d have tested playing video playlists before they released 14.3.

I’m having the same issue too.. Hopefully a new Apple TV update may fix this, since 14.3 really seems to be the problem here.
