NFC on iPhone 11 Triggering iPhone 12 Pro with iOS 14.3

I have two iPhones (work + personal). I updated the iPhone 12 Pro a day or two after iOS 14.3 was released. I update the iPhone 11 about a week after that.

Ever since updating the 11, the 12 Pro has been frequently triggering Apple Pay. It seems to happen when I hold both in the same hand while walking. This hasn’t happened a single time in the last two months since owning the 12 Pro. This never happened with my pair of 6S.

Is it possible that something changed in NFC code to autonomously trigger when the unit is raised or some other gesture?

I spent the day trying a couple of configurations. First I shut off double click side button on the iPhone 12. Apple Pay still triggered. Then I shut off the double click side button on the iPhone 11 (with the 12 still disabled) and Apple Pay again triggered. I enabled double click side button on the iPhone 12 (with the 11 still disabled) and again Apple Pay triggered.

Same issue here. Happens on iPhone 12 Pro (where apple pay is on) and companion phone iPhone XS. Just updated both to iOS 14.4 and still the issue persists. Bringing the iPhone 12 Pro close to the iPhone XS will activate the Apple Pay most times. This is annoying as sometime having two phones you will stack them on top of each other, and if Apple Pay keeps on showing asking “Double-Click to Pay”, it gets irritating after some time. No solution here other than keeping the two phones apart...

I was carrying a XS Max and 12 pro with no issues. I upgraded the XS to and 11 pro Max and now see the issue when near my 12. It’s always the 12 that pops Apple Pay. Super annoying. They can be sitting on the desk next to each other and I start hearing the vibrate of “double click to pay” and see my card on the screen. Let’s go Apple, need a solve here.

I’m having the exact same problem. I have a XR for work and a XSMAX as my personal phone. The XSMAX frequently opens Apple Pay when I put them in my shirt pocket together. It would be bad enough if it just opened and sat there draining the battery but it constantly chirps when it opens. I’m sure it’s a near field communication issue of some sort. I’d really love to be able to disable this if possible.

Thanks
