In IOS 14.2 you can no longer turn off the speakers using FaceTime and Zoom

I don't get a new quirk (at least to me). I can no longer turn the volume all the way down on my speakers for iPhone or iPad. It's really annoying when you have multiple people in a meeting and can't control the feedback between devices. Any solution?

iPadOS 14 FaceTime audio I have an iPad Air 3 on the latest OS. I have problems with the low audio level when using FaceTime. It is on the maximum volume but is nowhere near as loud as when playing music. I have a Bose Mini Soundlink Bluetooth speaker I use to play music from the iPad and which I have tried to use when on FaceTime without success. Is there anyway of making this work?

IPad sound cannot be muted in zoom App or WebEx App Hi, how can I turn off the speaker completely on my iPad when I am watching a streamed lecture/video conference on zoom/Webex etc.? The sound dial goes to the minimum but not to complete silent. This is annoying when you sit in an audience (physically with other people around) yet want to see the shared screen on your iPad (e.g. when the screen is too far away, so the iPad screen is more convenient). Both the FaceTime and Zoom apps have a mute button.
