My touchbar is completely discolored

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Would updating my Mac help in any way? I am at a loss. My Touch Bar was completely normal when I powered my Mac down this morning, but when I opened it up again, the touchbar was messed up. Half of it is totally black.

Likely a failure of the touch bar backlight.

First try an SMC reset and a NVRAM zap (the former is power, the latter resets the USB bus and that's how the touch bar is wired internally). If those fail, contact Apple.
