HomePod Mini for Child Use Case

I can't get this to work. Wondering if possible. My child has an iPad that I manage via Screen Time. I want my child to use the HomePod Mini herself and to play music from my Prime membership. How should I set up the HomePod to make this happen.

HomePod mini Hi, I have currently an Apple Music Account, an IPhone 12 and the latest IPad Pro. I would like to buy a HomePod Mini for my 8 years old son and I have a few questions before. I understood how to set up the HomePod Mini via the Home App but once installed what does the HomePod require to work without any phone or iPad nearby? Is it actually possible? I mean, my son has no phone yet nor an IPad, and I would not like to keep my phone or iPad nearby just to make the HomePod work. Is it sufficient to have a internet connection to make it work? And it would only be to play music from Apple Music in his room. I guess I would need to setup a family account on Apple Music, right? Daughter's Homepod music showing up on my phone I setup my daughter's Homepod Mini on her iPad, yet when she's playing her music, it's showing up on my iphone. How do I fix this so she can play her music on her Homepod with her ipad without it bothering my phone?

Can my kids use a HomePod if they don't have phones? I want to get a HomePod so that my children can listen to music. They will want to be able to create and listen to playlists. It looks like enabling voice recognition for them requires that they have their own iOS devices — phones or iPads -- which they don't. Is there a way for them to use the HomePod for music if they don't own a device?

HomePod connects to an Apple ID and can play from the unhidden purchase history, or iCloud Music Library if the user has Apple Music or iTunes Match. There is no connection to Amazon Prime.
