Iphone 12 Pro Max Stuck on Hello screen during setup of phone!

Hi I have recently purchased an Iphone 12 Pro max, and have run into a problem during setup.

After connecting my old Iphone 8 Plus to complete the quick setup option, going through the steps to set up the face recognition, and deciding to skip the set up of the Apple store, the new Iphone (12 Pro Max) took me to the usual Hello screen, which it has been stuck on for 3 days.

I have tried:

. Forcing a restart through quickly clicking the volume up and down buttons, then holding the off button down until the Apple logo appeared.

. Shutting the phone down through quickly clicking volume up and down buttons, then pressing the off button until the shut down slider popped up

. Connecting my phone to my laptop to work the problem out through Itunes (but the laptop and Itunes did not recognise my phone being attached, although the phone made a noise and started charging) To make sure it was not the cord or laptop, I tried 2 different cables and 2 different laptops.

The Iphone 12 Pro Max is stuck on the Hello screen and telling me to swipe up, when I do the phone vibrates (like when you input the wrong password) and quickly flicks to the password page and straight back off (not allowing me the time to input a password).

If anyone has had this same issue and has been able to resolve it the help would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks
