printer scanner not connecting to MacBook

how do I connect my Scanner to my Mac Book Air - - it is printing fine, but says it isn't connected and the Scanner won't recognize computer

Brother scanner doesn't work after Ventura upgrade I have a 2017 Macbook Pro 13-inch, serial # FV***V22. I recently upgraded to Ventura 13.0.1 and now my scanner won't work. Previously I would got to System Settings, click Printers & Scanners, and click the Open Scanner button. Since the software upgrade, when I click the Open Scanner button, a new page opens with the name of my printer at the top (Brother MFC-J870DW) but nothing happens after that. I was able to use the scanner with an app (Brother iPrint&Scan) but regret the loss of innate scanner ability [Personal Information Edited by Moderator]

Which printer/scanners will Mac OS Ventura 13.0 work with Will a HP ENVY Photo 7858 All-in-One Printer scan with Ventura 13.0? I'm getting blank pages. The system will copy. Thanks for your help.
