Music Library to be Used For Burned Music Files Only

I have lost a lot of burned music since I joined Apple Music. I want to create a separate library where I can play my re-burned music without Apple music. iTunes only acknowledges my purchased through iTunes music. How do I create the library and how can I play it separately from Apple Music. I have a previously undamaged external drive that I can use to compare with my cds to recreate the lost files.

Hi,

You can create multiple libraries. You can have one library for Apple Music plus any other music you wish to add to iCloud music library, the other that does not use iCloud music library for music that you have ripped. Use multiple libraries in Music on Mac - Apple Support
