Can 2 homepods (in stereo mode) be added to an existing home theater system? I do not want to use them on their own, but only as part of my overall and existing 7.1 speaker system. I would like them to add the Dolby Atmos sound to my system. I though I had read somewhere that this was possible. But right now, I am only given the option of using them or my editing system, not using them together.

Thats disappointing. They not much use to me then.
Presumably you can return them if they don't suit your intended use.

Yes thanks I may end up doing that. I already have a good computer speaker set up as well 5.1 with subwoofer, so I doubt the HomePods are better than that. But I will try and compare.
