Unable to redownload purchased iTunes songs in order to remove DRM.

I have un-hidden all purchases as per these instructions: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208167#hide

Nothing in the Account->Purchased screen gives me the option to download anything.

When going to the albums in the iTunes store, one shows as "Purchased" but does not provide any option to re-download. Another album does NOT show as "Purchased" (even though it shows up in Account->Purchased) and tells me I can Buy it for $16.99.

Other items that come up in my Library of Songs as "Protected AAC audio file" don't show up in Account->Purchased at all, despite the fact that I had purchased them on iTunes (and no, I don't need to un-hide them because I've already un-hidden everything).

All I want is to have a DRM-free version of these songs. Please help.

Poka,

If the current file is still in your library, you can't re-download. If you wish, delete the current file and then re-download.

By the way, if you do a redownload, do not assume that the new version will be non-DRM.

Right-clicking the song, selecting "Song Info", then selecting "File" and looking at "purchased by" shows that it was the same Apple ID as the one I am using to try and re-download, in all cases (for songs that don't show up at all in the Account->Purchased list, for songs that do show up in that list but for which the album does not show as "Purchased" in the Store, and for songs that do show up in that list and for which the album does show as "Purchased" in the store, but does still not give me the option to download it anyway).

So, for those albums and songs that don't show up in my "Purchased" list, or that do show up in my "Purchased" list but then in the Store do not show as "Purchased" for whatever reason, I guess I will have to re-purchase. That is disappointing.

I will go get a blank CD somewhere and try the method of burning a playlist of the affected songs to CD and then ripping them back into iTunes. I was hoping to find a way that didn't involve any extra expense, but a blank CD is certainly much cheaper than re-purchasing a bunch of albums & songs.

Thank you for your time and assistance.
