Issues with eGPU after upgrading to macOS Big Sur
Since upgrading to Big Sur, I have not been able to successfully eject/remove my eGPU. I'm using the following MacBook Pro + eGPU:
- MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
- Razer Core X Chroma eGPU enclosure
- Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card
After the going through the process to disconnect the eGPU, the eGPU icon remains in the menu bar. If I click on the icon, I get the message "No removable GPU" (see screenshot).
If I then unplug go ahead with unplugging the Razer's thunderbolt cable, I get a warning message.
Although the eGPU seems to work OK once I reconnect it to my machine, not being able to remove it without triggering a warning is quite annoying.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?
