How do I connect my iPhone 11 to my Windows Vista running an old iTunes version.

How do I connect my iPhone 11 to my Windows Vista running an old iTunes version. I have my own music library and many customized playlists that I want to integrate from the old Windows Vista system into my paid subscription to Apple Music content on my Phone and iPad devices. The iTunes version wont recognize my iPhone 11.

The system requirements for iPhone 11 are given as:

  • macOS Catalina 10.15 using the Finder
  • macOS El Capitan 10.11.6 through macOS Mojave 10.14.6 using iTunes 12.8 or later
  • Windows 7 or later using iTunes 12.10 or later

See Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community to move the library to a computer running a more suitable operating system on which you can install a version of iTunes able to manage your device.

I’m a former Vista user myself. Short answer: You can’t. (You’re about 5 years too late.) Hopefully you have a newer Windows system? Only Windows 10 can be recommended now. Version 12.10 of iTunes was the last to support Windows 7 and 8.1. It would probably still work now, but iOS updates will sooner or later break compatibility with that iTunes version.

Try Going Through Microsoft:

I. Contact Microsoft:

Vista Support has been discontinued. IF you were to get this to work, then you would need to uninstall iTunes from it, and then install a version that is compatible fore this.

II. How to Contact Microsoft:

Start here, with the Virtual Support Agent. Start a chat with a rep, asking them where to get this from their site. I'm most certain that Microsoft would blow this off right away. But, they have their own community forums. So, you might want to ask on there.

III. Microsoft Community:

what itunes do i need to install on windows vista home - Microsoft Community. As it mentions, use: iTunes v12.1.3.6. You'd have to use an older version - one no longer supported. You need to install the correct version, based on your bit version: Find out if you have 32-bit or 64-bit.
