Assistive touch bug? Ipad OS 14.3, Ipad Pro 2020

Hello,

I just observed that assistive touch is affecting the Auto-Lock function of my screen.

Assistive touch auto hide the re-activates after every 5 second (blinking every 5 sec.), causing the Auto-Lock to not function. The idle time of the screen prolong and drains battery.

By the way, my connected devices are Apple Pencil and Bluetooth Mouse.

I tried to hard reboot the IPad and disconnected all the bluetooth device, but still the assistive touch issue remains.

Temporary solution I found is to turn off the assistive touch and turn it on only during I use the bluetooth mouse.

Have you guys observed this on your device?

Cheers!

Hi

It is definitely a Big Issue, I’m using my IPad Pro for more than a year with keyboard and mouse and it was great for a while until 14.2 was released using a Logitech557 mouse, of course using assistive touch to program secondary button and even a third button to go to Home page or Switch page. Conclusion I had to disable Assistive Touch to avoid battery drain within an hour due to Auto Lock not working and losing all benefits of programming second and third button. I even bought a Magic Mouse 2 for 99 euros hoping to resolve all issues and to my surprise I can only use the basic functions same as with my Logitech without assistive touch. If Apple wants to promote the iPad Pro as a replacement of a Laptop they have to do a much better job, very disappointing!!
