Hi! Is the macbook pro bricked issue solved in update 11.1? is it safe now to update to big sur? I am having a mid 2013 13 inch retina display model..Thanks!!

Yes.

Can you now download Big Sur, before Apple stopped users of MBPs from 2013 and 2014

from downloading Big Sur. Now that you can download it is an indicator that Apple

think they have sorted out the issue with these particular macs.
