iPhone case
I just got the iPhone 12 Pro Max for Christmas and I love it, I love the stainless steel sides , I’ve always used a case but surely a case will hide the stainless steel? And it wobbles will the cameras scratch is in don’t get a case?

There is a chance that your cameras will get scratched whether you have a case or not, but that should not be a large concern for you. The main reason for cases is to protect the phone from damage to the front and back glass if you were to drop it. Overall, it is a personal choice whether or not you would like a case on your phone.
I have a case for my 12 Pro Max in the mail right now as even though the new iPhones have more drop protection than ever, they are not 100% drop safe. If your main concern is the looks of your phone, you could get a clear case (thick or thin depending on your preference). There are many options sold by Apple, popular companies such as Otter Box, or any number of lesser-known companies.
