QuickTime player won’t open iMovie

I am using catalina rn on my macbook and I have been trying to export my imovie and it wont open up on mov. or mp4. I’ve tried opening it as a file on my desktop as well as a youtubr video. nothing seems to work:(

It could be a corrupt preference that is causing a faulty export. Try deleting preferences. Open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and select to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen

your old library to get back to your projects.  Deleting preferences is a safe procedure that will not cause data loss or disruption to your project.
