But I dont see the required plus icon on the upper left corner of my iphone. What should I do?

Why can i not see the plus icon on my iphone I bought an iphone x and when i hold down on the screen the apps jiggle but the plus in the top left hand corner doesn’t appear. i want to add widgets to the home screen. Thank you

You need to upgrade to iOS14 to do that.
