MacBook Air (M1) Crashing With Blu-Ray Player!

Bit of a random one but I just purchased a 'Pioneer BDR-XD07TS Blu-Ray Player' for my M1 MacBook Air. However EVERY time I try to open/play a Blu-Ray, it freezes my MacBook and forces it to reboot. When rebooting it pops up with 'Panic Media Boot'.

I've tried different software, ensuring the player has enough power through my Anker adapter and even opening the STREAM folder on the Blu-Ray directly - all ending with the same crash!

Any help would be really appreciated!

I was having problems with my Pioneer Blu-ray drive, until I bought a fast cable from Apple - a Mophie USB-C to Micro-B cable. All fixed.

Same issue on my M1 MBP 16 GB RAM.Initialy was playing ok on MacGoPro bluray player, but all of the sudden started the kernel panic.i tried Leawo bluray player, app just hanging, not crashing. Then I created an Bluray ISO image file from a DV home movie.Same kernel panic when trying to play it,OS restarting.I opened the ISO package and i accessed the BDMV folder and trying to play one of the m2ts file, then kernel panic again.ISO DVD image playing ok.the report is about virtual memory/missing or bad page object\n
