How to turn off discussion mail ???

Not sure what you mean, However, if you are getting a load of unwanted ASC notifications, click on your username and then do "View Profile," When you profile opens, look on the right side of the window for "Edit Profile & Preferences" and click it.


About half-way down that page is a section "Messages from Apple." Adjust the check boxes so they look like this:



Set like that, you will still get limited important communications from Apple but the flood emails will stop.
