iPhone 12Pro screen dimming

Hello,

my iPhone 12 Pro actually has quite a few annoying bugs since I upgraded from my X, But this particular one is very annoying.

First let me say that I always take good care of the phone, keep it updated, and understand all the Display and Brightness settings. I have also attached a screenshot of the settings I use.

the issue is that sometimes upon turning my phone on, the screen will be extremely dark. It will continue to stay dark/dim and otherwise function normally until I turn the phone off and back on (not power down, just lock and unlock)

I do not have a screen protector or case that could be covering the brightness sensor, and do not have automatic brightness adjustment turned on anyways.

I do have True Tone turned on though, but that should not cause this.

this issue happens about 10% of the time I turn on and attempt to use my iPhone.

I believe this to be a bug with 14.3, not a hardware issue, as it is a brand new phone.

Is there anything I can do to solve this?
