What is a NON cloud-based alternative to Evernote?
I know that I can export and import my Evernote notes and then import to Apple Notes. However, with Apple still containing icloud storage at 2 TB this is not going to work for me.
I need the ability to either 1) Open an evernote exported file .enex without a "notes" app (don't think this is possible) - similar to how you would with a pdf or other document OR 2) I need a desktop (macbook) local machine notes alternative that I can import the .enex files into that does not sync to a cloud (icloud or otherwise)...
We have been paperless for years and I have plenty of old scanned docs that I need to save and have access to but really do not want on the cloud. Plus, my icloud is fast approaching 2 TB. Back in the day Evernote was the best option for this. Today, not so much. Prices have skyrocketed, service is not as good and apple notes has of course advanced. Still - I don't want a cloud-based solution.
The other possibility is 3) Is there a way to create an apple notes folder that does NOT sync with icloud so it can be as large as I want it and still on my local computer?
Thanks for the help!
