Boot Camp install Win10, HighSierra ver 10.13.6

MacbookPro Mid 2010 attempting to install Win10 dual boot using MAC OS 10.13.6 High Sierra, but bootcamp returns error message "this version of windows is not compatible with bootcamp"

A clean install of W10 is only supported on 2012 and later Macs.


If you must have W10, install W7/W8.1 (preferable W8.1 - without activation) first, and then run an in-place upgrade in W8.1 to W10. This will also allow all your W8.1 Bootcamp drivers to continue to support your 2010 Mac hardware correctly.
