Your Apple Watch is currently locked. Please unlock it to continue.

Hello,

I am unable to unlock my watch. It keeps telling me to unlock my phone, but it still won't unlock even after I unlock my phone. I have tried to restart it and still nothing. I can't even put in the passcode because from the app on my Iphone I get this message "Your Apple Watch is currently locked. Please unlock it to continue."

I lost my watch for about 1 hour yesterday in the grocery store and so I reported it as lost in the "find my phone/watch." However, I then clicked that I found it so I am not sure what it going on. Please help.

Hello Dr.JennyB,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand your Apple Watch is unresponsive, when you attempt to unlock it. We'll be happy to help.

Let's ensure that the Activation Lock feature is turned off for your Apple Watch by logging in with your Apple ID account through the iCloud website: iCloud

If it's still on, please turn off the Activation Lock by following these steps: Remove a device from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com

Now if that does not help, we recommend to unpair and re-pair your Apple Watch to the paired iPhone: Unpair and erase your Apple Watch and Set up and pair your Apple Watch with iPhone

Please let us know if that helps.

Best regards.
