Bluetooth keyboard not connrecting

My Bluetooth keyboard won't pair with my Mac. It shows in the list of devices on Bluetooth screen in system preferences. It was working perfectly until yesterday. My Mac is 2012 and running. OSX Yosemite 10.10.5. I hope someone can help, Thanks Ian

Hey IanMac112,

Thanks for testing that.

Next, we'd recommend trying a few resets on your Mac.

First, we'd recommend an SMC reset using the steps here: How to reset the SMC of your Mac

If that doesn't help, then we'd suggest trying a PRAM reset using the steps here: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac

Thanks!

Hey IanMacl12,

It sounds like you're having an issue connecting your Bluetooth keyboard with your Mac. We can understand wanting to get that resolved. We want to help.

First, we'd recommend reviewing the information in this article to see if there is potential interference causing the issue: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference

If that doesn't help, we'd recommend testing to see if the same issue occurs in safe mode. This article explains how to start to safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac

Thanks!
