Big Sur will not install on my 2019 Mac Pro 16

I'm back again. Big Sur takes hours to download then I get error message that an error occurred couldn't complete download.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 10.15

Big Sur requires 35.5GBs of free space to install.

Assuming you have enough free space, try again while in Safe Mode.

Thank you it worked trying to install Big Sur in safe mode. I know the download takes long but when is it too long?

No problem. Try once more. As soon as your restart your Mac, press and hold the Shift key until you see the Apple logo and progress bar. Then you can release the key.

You're welcome. It's hard to be definite as to the length of time. I've installed Big Sur on 5 Macs and they all took at least 40-50 mins. One's connection speed makes a difference as well as how many files have to be moved around, along with how much free space one has. I would think up to a couple hours wouldn't be too excessive.

I wish , been downloading for 3 hours and only a blue speck on progress bar and only at 264.8 MB

Did not install says it’s up to date Mac OS 10.15.7 think I will try the recovery again and reinstall
