Can't connect Sony WH-1000XM4 headphone to MacBook Pro

I cannot connect my Sony WH-1000XM4 headphone to my MacBook (Mid 2012, OS X Yosemite, 10.10.5). My MacBook can connect to other Bluetooth devices, even a Samsung TV, but my Sony headphone can't.

The headphone can connect to my iPhone 11 pro max, but not my MacBook, is it because my MacBook is too old?

Bluetooth headphones not listed in devices Hi all, I have a Philips SHB5500 headphone I used with my iPhone 5c. The headphone is not recognized by my iPhone SE nor my mid-2011 21.5 iMac though. I'm trying to find out if I can at least use it with my iMac. It is simply not displaying in the Device list when I open the Bluetooth configs. This headphone uses Bluetooth 3.0 through a A2DP bluetooth profile (besides AVRCP, HFP, HSP). My iMac bluetooth has a 2.1+EDR technology, but I really cannot find any relation between all these technical aspects (e.g. is EDR compatible with A2DP profile, os is 2.1 compatible with 3.0, and so on). After all, is my iMac supposed to see this headphone or not? Thanks to all

bluetooth headphones not connecting to macbook pro MacBook Pro Catalina 10.15.3 iPhone 7+ 13.3.1 I just bought these https://www.amazon.com/Cancelling-Headphones-Utaxo-Bluetooth-Cellphone/dp/B07QL578VM and they connect to my iphone with no problems. But nothing allows them to connect to my MBP. Any ideas?
