How to show battery percentage on iPhone 12

My original iPhone SE is running 14.6 and still as the lovely easy to read and see battery percentage on the top right where it should be. Why Apple took it off but left the useless battery icon is a mystery to me you would think it would be easy to remove the unwanted battery icon and replace it with the battery percentage.

Please Apple lets have the battery percentage back where it should be, PLEASE

My judgement is that you should leave your judgements about accepting a regression in iPhone functioning to yourself. It contributes nothing to solving the problem. Perhaps FaceBook would be the more appropriate medium for revealing the inner you.

The question is, can you change the battery symbol on top right of screen to show a percentage of the battery left instead of the battery symbol. I haven’t seen that one could change this anywhere in the settings. Thanks.

I would also add to previous Apple customer’s comments, my comment of absolute disappointment and frustration that there is no longer a battery percentage displayed on the home screen of my new Apple 12mini 😡. Why on earth was it removed? Apple.. the old adage says... “If it ‘ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. This has been a retrograde step.. put the battery percentage back on to the home screen.... PLEASE 🙏

THE BIGGEST IPHONE SCREEN EVER MADE AND THERES NO ROOM FOR THE BATTERY PERCENTAGE?!! This is just one of the many steps backwards that makes the iPhone 12ProMax the worst iPhone I’ve ever used! The 10% looks like the 1% and I’m not going to pull the control center down every 3 minutes just to check my heathery when a GD flip phone can do better!! Bad move!

Please, Apple, include battery percentage as an option to either add or replace the totally imprecise battery icon on the home screen. Biggest disappointment so far with my brand new 12 mini. That and the loss of the fingerprint recognition, of course…

I wish apple would bring this option back this is not practical. I think we should have the option to have the percentage on as a permanent option. Having to not forget that the battery percentage is only in the control centre is not practical. My phone is part of my job and figuring out my phone is dying in middle of an emergency/crisis is an absolute unnecessary stress. Please apple fix this

I would LOVE to have the option of either the battery image or a percentage! That seems like a great compromise, I miss having my percentage always there

Moved from android to apple. Phone runs great and reliable, but the customization and widget options are sad. takes allot of the fun out of having a $1k toy.

Not sure why you feel using the colour to signify charge is 'silly' - I'd say it is very very smart, really!

At least we agree that there should be the percent number shown!

I just want a clear readable percentage just like it was before and not using a huge widget
