How to show battery percentage on iPhone 12

The new iPhone 12 doesn’t have the options to show the battery percentage inside the battery icon all the time like the iPad has.

control centre shows the percentage but I need to use a swipe down to see that

is there a way to enable battery percentage inside the battery icon so that I can see it all the time.


This is how iPad shows percentage of the battery.

Just swipe down from the top-right corner of your display. On iPhone SE (2nd generation), iPhone 8 or earlier, iPad, and iPod touch (7th generation), you can see the battery percentage in the status bar. Go to Settings > Battery and turn on Battery Percentage.

I wish apple would bring this option back this is not practical. I think we should have the option to have the percentage on as a permanent option. Having to not forget that the battery percentage is only in the control centre is not practical. My phone is part of my job and figuring out my phone is dying in middle of an emergency/crisis is an absolute unnecessary stress. Please apple fix this
