The new iPhone 12 doesn’t have the options to show the battery percentage inside the battery icon all the time like the iPad has.
control centre shows the percentage but I need to use a swipe down to see that
is there a way to enable battery percentage inside the battery icon so that I can see it all the time.
This is how iPad shows percentage of the battery.

can't believe I'm about to type this but...
it bugs me so much I'm thinking of giving up on iPhones!
I bought the 12 mini my first update since my 2016 SE, I am thinking or bringing the SE (original) back into use and selling the 12 mini on, that's how much this Apple error as annoyed me.
There is room remove the useless battery icon and replace it with the battery percentage

Wow I honestly do t think I would have got this phone if I knew the battery percentage wasn’t going to be an option. What a joke. Did apple miss this or are they stupid.

It is silly that one cannot display battery percentage permanently on upper right corner of New iPhone 12 Pro Max, annoying! Hope Apple handles this simple and highly demanded solution quickly!
Good idea, done. It’s silly that Apple thought this feature wasn’t necessary, I’ve always preferred to display battery percentage vs bar. It’s much more useful. Thanks
I have added feedback as well but to us users and buyers replacing the silly icon with the percentage just seems a great idea and so easy. To Apple who knows perhaps they cannot be bothered
The widget your having a laugh "it's bloody huge" 4 bigger then a normal widget and looks silly, not an option
& it is MASSIVE.
It sucks up 3 more apps from the screen....
That is not a solution!!
Precisely, that is the point we’re all trying to make, that is silly not to have that feature as an option.
