Apple Music macOS - Equalizer keeps resetting after pausing a song

I'm using Big Sur v11.1.

I like to manually set the Equalizer. I use Window > Equalizer to change tweak it.

It works. But everytime I pause a song and play it again, the equalizer doesn't work.

The equalizer setting stays the same but it just doesn't work.

It starts working again if I tweak the any bar by 1 dB.

Do you know how can I fix it?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.1

Hey vibhu000,

We see you're having issues with the EQ in Apple Music not adjusting the balance after pausing and resuming a song.

To aid us in isolating this issue, can you let us know the following?

Are you using the steps outlined here to adjust the equalizer? Adjust the sound quality in Music on Mac
Does the same thing happen when using the Mac in safe mode? Start up your Mac in safe mode
If this is a Mac you've used with a previous version of macOS, did this issue occur then, or only since updating to Big Sur?

Let us know, and we'll proceed from there.

Same issue here - Does it every time. This is on a clean install - Didn't do a time machine restore.

Raised an issue with Apple but nothing from them.

I also hope this will get fixed in the new update. I prefer to use Music for my media player, because it syncs phones. But I will look for another app to play music even if it's inconvenient if this problem is not fixed.
