I use @mac, @me and @icloud for my email as I’ve been a long time Mac user.
Recently, I’ve been getting mail to these from random companies. It appears that a few people with my same name think the address is theirs. I’ve had receipts, eBay purchase info, you name it. Some from the US, some from Australia. My account is not compromised. I don’t know how to stop people with the same name as me from thinking my email is there email.

You could try to reply to the emails to alert the senders that the recipient is incorrect, then create a rule - Set up rules to filter email in Mail on iCloud.com - Apple Support.
Nice suggestion. However, I get the emails, so if I reply it goes to me. I do have rules set but these don’t catch the new ones coming in. This week I got a receipt from a hardware store in OZ.
