I want an explanation as to why this feature has been removed? PLEASE BRING IT BACK
Do not understand why it would be taken away after all these years of it being a key and fun feature!

Aside from what has already been stated, Apple licenses the operating system to us and that gives them the right to change anything, without justification, and regardless of any feature dependency. They have years of practice at this.
