Scrolling in Apple News on MacBook Air

Hello. I use a MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2019) with Big Sur 11.1 (20C69). I can scroll through all content fine in various apps, including Safari and Stocks. However News will not scroll smoothly. What is the fix for that, please?

Howdy Flying-G,

It sounds like you are having scrolling issues with the News app on your MacBook Air. We know how important having working a News app is for you, and you’re in the right place to find a resolution.

Have you tried a normal restart of the device? This simple step can resolve issues like this.

If still having the issue after the restart. Have you checked to see if you are running the latest macOS version? Keep your Mac up to date

Another thing to try is booting into safe mode to see if it occurs. This helps let you know if it's a system issue. Start up your Mac in safe mode

Checking in another user account will rule out account issues too.
