AppleCare and AIG service with stolen iPhone

Is your phone working now? How long did AIG lock your phone?

This is exactly what I’m going through now. It’s almost as if I typed this.

So I called my bank to reverse the payment I made for the iPhone. Also had them reverse the payment I made for the deductible. And boom they shipped my phone the next day! AIG+Apple Care is a scam.

whats the timeline? how many days ago did you file your claim? my experience was they were terrible at communication - but the phone showed up in three days

Did your replacement phone just show up without any prior notification? Even from Fedex or Apple?

the person that stole your iPhone won’t be able to use it because Apple block it as soon as you report it lost !!

I will never use AIG apple care + again horrible service oh and still no phone

For those who had to wait weeks and got their phones in the end (assuming everyone eventually got their phones???) What did you do that finally resolved it?

Waiting patiently and tolerating their horrendous communication, customer interaction and nonexistent tracking worked for me.

Dealing with AIG and AppleCare going on week 2 now. It has been **** trying to get any answer about my claim

Yes thank you, I left a complaint with them, and also with New York State department of finance, they regulate insurance companies. Better business bureau is also an option.

Did you get your phone? How did the process proceed?

Still no phone for me. I made the claim on the 6/31/21. And my phone was returned yesterday. But they said once the phone has been filed as lost/stolen it’s too late.
