Is the iPhone still incapable of crossfading between songs played on Apple Music? I've read older posts that this was not possible but since they were from 2017 and have not been updated I wanted to check.

With Apple Music on macOS Big Sur, you can select to crossfade and the timing in Music > Preferences > Playback tab > Crossfade songs. Fade between songs in Music on Mac
Crossfade is not an option with Apple Music for iOS. Play music on iPhone

I’m sure it’s all about digital rights. Settling them for iOS is probably a very big deal.
Cutting of seconds of a song is the same a changing a Van Gogh by painting the missing ear and saying who cares. I really do think it’s a DRM issue on iOS. Apple is no fool.

Whilst it probably sounds ludicrous, Apple Music has supported cross fade on Android devices for some time now, but seem incapable or unwilling to provide the same functionality to IPhone users.
Yep, still not available to iPhone users, only Android phone users… 🥴
